Places I've Been
- Boston University:
-
A WWW interface to
my Master's project
was been developed at the
Multimedia Communications Laboratory.
The lab is a lot smaller these days, and my project is no longer on
the web.
-
My program was in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering,
which no longer seems to offer that software-oriented program.
- Cambridge, England
- University of Rhode Island
-
Where the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
eventually saw fit to give me a couple of degrees (short gist: I never did
choose between the "Electrical" and the "Computer" parts of the department name).
- Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
[I didn't get a degree there, but spent a couple of years or so, and met
most of my best friends, including the woman I eventually married.]
-
WRPI is
the 10 kW FM campus radio station, of which I was
president way back
twenty-odd years ago.
Their team of web-page designers is bigger than their engineering staff, and
their idea of "eclectic" now seems to cover "the rock-techno spectrum," but
I've still got a soft spot for the place.
-
I hung out with
Players a lot, too.
