.OP .PO13 Minutes of the fourth meeting of the Executive Committee of Radio Rensselaer of the Fall 1984 semester held on 3-October-1984 The meeting was called to order at 6:35. Department Reports: Membership: We have members. We're working on finding more by sending a letter to the freshmen who expressed an interest in us at SO. At Bernie's suggestion and adding the list of people who signed our sheet at the activities fair. Public Relations: Buttons and bumper stickers are coming. A Program guide will be out by the end of the week. This Friday there will be an envelope-stuffing party. Station Management: "Yes." "Oh, a report." A key issuance request for students is in. Non-students will have to wait a bit more. Mike Aarons, as announced last week when the minutes didn't get typed up, is the new traffic manager. There will be a work party this Friday night at 7 PM. Programming Department: "I have done [nothing] since last week." tech: The eight and sixteen channel boards are here but not yet up to snuff. Due to recent problems, maybe provisionally cleared people shouldn't sign on or off. President: E-Comm meetings will be held at 6:30 on Tuesday evenings, except next week when it will have to be on Wednesday night again. Actually there will be at least two more occasions this semester when my exams will force rescheduling, but will cross those bridges when they hatch. Work Parties: will be every two weeks when possible. To get around laziness on job lists, I will post a piece of paper. WGOH and PSAs could be done by some new members we might recruit for the purpose. Photocopying is being arranged by buying a Venda-Card and reimbursing through petty cash. Aaron thinks Doug is working on that. The deal to sponsor a band for UPAC so that both Romeo Void and Let's Active would play here fell through. Neither of them nor Bruce Cockburn are coming. Old Business: National Semiconductor will be putting a pager system on our tower, but they won't be getting keys, so they will have to go through us every time they want access to that equipment. New Business: The Lamplighters complained to Fozzie earlier this week that the scheduling for the next general meeting was impossible for them to make, implying that this was religious disrimination. It was decided that the discussion of this scheduling was sufficiently open that they had the opportunity to speak up before the meeting was scheduled but failed to do so, and it was decided to do nothing. The station is officially invited to the Players' Halloween party on Saturday October 28. Gary arrived. The E-Comm voted 0-4-0 against approving Gary's arrival. He said to talk to people signing in if you're not sure they're cleared. The meeting was adjourned at 7:37. Be well.
